Arjun Reddy is the game changer movie in the career of Vijay Deverakonda. However, the film was in the headlines for its misogyny and toxic masculinity. Vijay Deverakonda played the role of a young medical student suffering from anger issues.

Vijay’s role received appraisal by many critics and fans. The same was discussed during one round table in 2019. Parvathy Thiruvothu during an interview along with many stars like Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Vijay Deverakonda, and many others, criticized films like Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy for their misogyny and toxic glorified character.

Social Media platforms also had mixed reactions. However, Vijay Deverakonda was quite irritated and said that He is normally very understanding, and gives people the benefit of doubt. He saw there was a genuine reason behind these questions. But These people are misplaced; they don’t know what they are talking about. He didn’t mind the question though. He loves Parvathy and admires her. What irritates him the most is what people are talking about on social media. People are celebrating at his cost which bothers him. He doesn’t what others think of the movie as misogyny or whatever.

Vijay says he is irritated now, there are things inside him and he wants to take them out. If he won’t take it out, it will be like a tumor within.

Also, Parvathy in an interview says, people don’t have to follow these things. She explains if you watch the Joker movie and you don’t get inspired to kill everybody like it’s nice, let’s kill everyone. The same is here you watch a tragedy and leave it there without getting inspired by it.
