Taapsee Pannu is that one diva of B-Town who doesn’t mince with her words at all. She’s currently enjoying the best phase of her professional life and even in her latest movie ‘Haseen Dillruba’, she’s managed to grab a few eyeballs with her supremely amazing portrayal. Taapsee is often recognized as the ideal embodiment of feminism in B-Town and her statements always make an impact.
Recently, there were reports of Kareena Kapoor aka Bollywood’s beloved Bebo apparently charging as much as 12 crores for her role as Sita. Although there’s no confirmation if it’s true or not, trolls started making fun of Kareena for allegedly demanding a huge amount.
When asked about this during an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Taapsee was quoted as saying,
“If it would have been a man in that position, who would have asked for a particular amount, it would have been looked upon like, ‘iski market badh gayi hai (his worth has improved)’. Like that guy has really achieved big success in life. But because a woman is asking for it, she’s called ‘difficult’, ‘too demanding’. It’s always like that.”
