Kendall Jenner, the supermodel has walked for some of the biggest brands, Fendi, Versace, Giambattista Valli, Tom Ford, and Victoria’s Secrets. However, she has only made a few appearances on the runways since 2017. While everyone seems to be honed in on her glamorous exterior, the model has been struggling with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks and came quite close to a complete mental breakdown. The model opened up about her struggles. Read on:

Jenner reveals that she has been coping with her anxiety and seeking solace in the ‘old-fashioned diary’.

As per an Elle report, she stated, ‘It has a lock on it and I hide it, I lock it away: mine is so, so secretive. I’m like, “No one can ever get this.”’ She also claimed that she writes in it once or twice a week.

She also went on to talk about her bouts of depression. “It’s important to have a space that’s just for you where you can let out your happiness, your anger, frustrations, and stress, the things that are freaking you out, the things that are making you happy and even just ideas,” she said.

While talking about forms of therapy and distractions, she noted, “I just love having things that are for me and no one else, you know? I feel like reading is one of those things.”

She admitted that she found it scary that she almost lost herself to the chaos of fame. She mentioned, “It’s a sad thing to say, but sometimes you almost have to remind yourself who you are.”

She continued, ‘I think doing your own personal work is a really great way of reminding yourself, “Oh, no, no, no, no. This is who I am.’

She finished the thought, ‘At a young age, I had to give up control and let someone else portray me in the way that they wanted… That was my job. Now, being on the other side is taking that control back.’
