Malaika Arora is an Indian performer, model, and artist who appears in Hindi-language films. The fitness freak actress has started with a new fitness contest on social media, recently, ‘Malaika’s Move Of The Week.’ The actress posted her first ‘Malaika’s Move Of The Week’ of 2020 on Instagram too. She captioned it – “Let’s kickstart our Workout and Yoga routine for a new year and a new week with a shimmer of sweat and an unwavering commitment.”

She further mentioned the rules of the challenge in the caption too – “To begin with the first #MalaikasMoveOfTheWeek of 2021, let’s strike a pose just as amazing as Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana (Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose).

This pose strengthens and stretches the legs and ankles. It challenges and improves your sense of balance, enhancing your focus and concentration.”

She later mentioned the procedure to do the exercise. She said: “Here’s how to do it:

1. Stand-up straight with legs together.

2. Bring your left knee towards your belly.

3. Hold the big toe of the left leg with the left hand.

4. Inhale, extend your leg to the side shoulder level.

5. Maintain the balance on the right leg.

6. Lift your right hand up. Keep both your knees straight and look forward.

7. Hold for 10 to 15 seconds and release.”

The actress also made her audience cautious by saying, “Anyone suffering from an injury of the hip, ankle, back, knee or shoulder should refrain from practicing this pose.”
