“There was a phase where I was being offered similar kinds of roles. And I wasn’t happy about it as I didn’t want to get typecast. I would wish for meatier and serious parts. Also, thrillers like Warning and Nirdosh where I had performance-oriented roles, weren’t well-promoted. Even though I am proud of all the films I have done so far, I feel I could do so much more as an actor. With Barot House I could establish that fact. The digital space really gave me the opportunity to explore and perform. I believe that this current phase of my career, where I am getting to do a variety of roles, is truly refreshing and exciting. It’s the Manjari 2.0 version of me that you’ll see now.”
