Akshay Kumar was in the best of mood at the virtual launch event of his much talked about movie Laxmmi Bomb.
The film is skipping theaters and is set to beam directly on OTT Disney Plus Hotstar.
“It’s a passion project. I have wanted to do it for long now. I would like to say that out of all the movies I have done, playing a transgender character in Laxmmi Bomb has been most mentally challenging for me. On the same note, it has been immensely gratifying as well. The experience has helped me understand the idea of gender equality better,” said Akshay.
He continued: ‘I had to wear a saree in the movie and I feel it is one of the most graceful attires ever. It was tough initially to move or act in a saree, but gradually I got used to it. My persona in Laxmmi Bomb is entirely different from what I have done in the past and I hope my fans will like it.”
