The Brahmastra stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child last year after they tied the knot in April. And now, their daughter Raha Kapoor, their newborn girl, asserts her first Lohri. On this holy celebration, Neetu Kapoor, the baby’s grandma, posted a special message for her grandchild on Instagram.
Neetu Singh, with all her adoring ‘dadi’ instincts, took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of Alia, Ranbir and her granddaughter Raha to wish her granddaughter on her first Lohri. The photo that Neetu shared was earlier shared by Alia on her Instagram handle, where she announced their daughter’s name.
Sharing the throwback picture of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Raha, Neetu Singh wrote, “Happy First Lohri” along with love heart emojis.

Announcing that they have decided to name their daughter ‘Raha’, Alia wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic, peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”
