Penélope Cruz is a Spanish actress and was born on 28 April 1974. Penélope was signed by an agent when she was 15 and made her acting debit on television at the age of 16. Following year, she featured film debut Jamón Jamón In the year 1992. The actress has stockpiled numerous awards, including an Academy Award.

Before this, she was rejected multiple times by the agent, as the agent felt she was too young. She later won an audition at a talent agency while competing with more than 300 girls.
After the success of the Spanish comedy film, Love Can Seriously Damage Your Health, she appeared in her first American Film The Hi-Lo Country.
Cruz gained worldwide recognition in the years 2006-2009. She then achieved various awards including Best Actress Awards at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival that she shared with 5 of her co-stars.
