On August 9, 1991, Hansika Motwani, an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil and Telugu films, was born. She made her Telugu film debut with Desamuduru (2007).

Hansika started off as a child actress in Hindi films before moving on to lead roles in Telugu films like Kantri (2008) and Maska (2009). Mappillai was her first Tamil film, and she went on to star in Engeyum Kadhal (2011), Velayudham (2011), Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012), Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (2013), and Singam II, all of which were commercially successful. She made her Malayalam film debut with Villain (2017).

Hansika is interested in philanthropic activities. She gives money to help impoverished youngsters and breast cancer survivors acquire an education. She is a brand ambassador for Chennai Turns Pink, a women-focused breast cancer awareness campaign.

She became a Buddhist convert. “The easiest approach for me to properly de-stress is to chant- Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo, as I strongly follow Buddhism,” she remarked in an interview. Chanting has helped the actress both psychologically and professionally, according to her.

In 2014, she was named to Forbes’ list of the top 250 celebrities.

Fans call her ‘supersweet Hansika’ and even say “Her wholehearted smile seems to be enough to light up everyone’s day.”
