Paul Bettany has confessed that his children tease him about his role as Vision, the artificial intelligence-turned-humanoid Avenger.

Before graduating to his own body, Vision was JARVIS, Tony Stark’s artificially intelligent computer assistant.

WandaVision, his critically acclaimed spin-off series with on-screen lover Wanda Maximoff, is also a hit (played by Elisabeth Olsen).

Despite Vision’s transformation from CPU to full-fledged Avenger in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Bettany’s children remain unimpressed.

Bettany stated to Seth Meyers on his talk show Late Night with Seth Meyers that he had stumbled across something unexpected.

Bettany informed Meyers and the studio audience, “I wanted to watch Moon Knight so I tried to log in to my Disney+ account and they had modified my profile,” before demonstrating what his children had done to his account.

His account’s profile photo is (of course) an image of Vision, however, his children renamed his account to ‘The Worst Avenger.’

“I have my suspicions, but I don’t know who did it,” Bettany remarked of the prank, which presenter Meyers described as “quite vicious.”

“Perhaps you’re all beginning to draw up some pictures of my home life,” the WandaVision star remarked.

Ouch. Clearly, his children are unaware of Hawkeye’s flaws. But that’s beside the point.

The vicious anti-Vision sledging, according to Bettany, does not end there.

“They torment me with it,” stated the 50-year-old actor. “My daughter has shifted her favorite Avengers from one to the next. It’s never, ever going to be me.”

Children are capable of becoming cruel.

“It was an absolute delight,” Bettany stated. “There was no pressure on us because we were supposed to finish second out of the gate.”

“We imagined ourselves as a quirky, niche show that only five people would watch, but those five people would adore it.”

“Then we came out first and kind of s**ted ourselves, and it went down extremely nicely after that.”

Vision (along with a few other fan favorites) met a horrific death in Avengers: Endgame, for those who may have missed it.

WandaVision dealt with his lover Wanda’s first grief after the death of her loved one, but in the post-WandaVision world, Vision’s narrative remains a mystery.

Bettany and Marvel haven’t said whether or not his character would return to the MCU, but he may be resurrected as White Vision.
