Pankaj Tripathi is one of the finest actors in the industry. After years of struggle and hard work, Pankaj has finally managed to establish his niche in the entertainment industry and needless to say, the role of Kaleen bhaiya in ‘Mirzapur’ series has played a big role in that. It proved to be the ideal stepping stone for many more lovely projects in the future and to name a few, we have the likes of Luka Chhupi, Mimi, Stree, Gunjan Saxena, and the recently-released, Bunty Aur Babli 2.
Pankaj plays the role of a police officer in the movie and without any element of doubt, he did manage to crack up the audience big time with his comic role. ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ as a franchise is quite a big hit and to talk about the first part, it hit a new level of entertainment in the song ‘Kajra Re’ which showed three members of the Bachchan family aka Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan dance together. During an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz, when asked about his memories of Bunty Aur Babli 1, he was quoted as saying,
“It was a fantastic experience. I really loved it. I still remember watching it in the cinemas and it was a full-house that day. The audience kept whistling and enjoying every bit. Seeing Amitabh Bachchan dance on ‘Kajra Re’ in ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ and that too in a full-house theatre was an amazing experience. Nobody can match his style ever. He is called ‘Shahenshah’ for a reason.”
