Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are currently gearing up for ‘Jabariya Jodi’ and are looking forward to it being a blockbuster. The story deals with an important reality. It showcases “Pakadwa Shaadi”, aka forced marriage, which is a traditional practice in states like Bihar for years now. The basic concept of the practice is to allow the families of brides to avoid paying the exorbitant demands for dowry they are presented with. These families have devised an innovative solution to the problem – the kidnapping of eligible grooms and forcefully getting them married to their daughters. Sidharth Malhotra’s character in ‘Jabariya Jodi’ is lightly based on one such kidnapped groom from Bihar. This is the second time Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti are coming together after ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ in 2014.

Sidharth Malhotra is looking forward to delivering a hit with this one as his last one with Manoj Bajpayee, titled ‘Aiyaary’, didn’t do as well as expected. On the other hand, Parineeti is riding high on the success of her last film ‘Kesari’, alongside none other than Akshay Kumar. The songs of the movie are already a hit, especially ‘Zilla Hilela’ and ‘Khadke Glassy’, where we get to see Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra dancing their hearts out.
‘Ek kanya ko tumhara naam de rahe hai.. aur tumhaare baye haath ko thoda araam de rahe hai’. Yeah that’s a unique dialogue that Sidharth utters in the upcoming movie, which he posted about on social media today –
