Pooja Hegde, a Tollywood star, is currently promoting her forthcoming flick Radhe Shyam. The period love drama, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, is due to hit theatres on March 11. She has also agreed to appear in a couple of Bollywood films, including Cirrkus, starring Ranveer Singh, and Bhaijaan, starring Salman Khan. Previously, the 31-year-old turned down multiple projects due to her schedule, screenplay selection, and story.

Pooja Hegde has rejected the following films.

Vakeel Saab (Vakeel Saab): Pooja Hegde was approached by the film’s producers to play the main part, but she declined owing to her hectic schedule at the time. The judicial drama, starring Pawan Kalyan, is a Telugu version of Amitabh Bachchan’s film Pink. On April 9, 2021, the film was released. Vakeel Saab became the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2021, behind Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda, garnering over Rs 137 crore.

Pooja Hegde of Shakuntalam has also been rejected to appear in the next film directed by Gunasekhar. The producers contacted her with the script for Shakuntalam, but she declined. What’s the reason? Right now, the actor did not want to undertake a female-oriented picture. The filmmakers have now cast Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role and have just unveiled her first look from the flick.

Pooja was approached by the producers of the Bollywood film Hero, which marked the debut of Sooraj Pancholi. The film was scheduled to be her Bollywood debut, but she turned it down in favour of Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro. Later, the producers chose Athiya Shetty to play the female lead alongside Sooraj. On September 11, 2015, Hero was released.

Pooja Hegde was the first choice for the female role in the Telugu version of the Bollywood film Andhadhun. Maestro’s male lead was performed by actor Nithiin. For unclear reasons, the actor declined the offer. On September 17, 2021, the film was released.
