We’re fairly convinced that Sonam Kapoor Ahuja would select the “bold eye” over the “bold lip” in the final beauty showdown. She’s worn several different variants of the look over the years, sometimes in the shape of a sparkly, hazy brown eye and other times in the form of a more structured smoky eye. They’re virtually always paired with a natural-looking nude lip and a liberal coating of eyeliner and mascara. In an interview with Vogue, Kapoor Ahuja noted, “The black eye is a very Indian thing.” “Because we have huge eyes and great eyebrows,” she said, “and we constantly strive to emphasize that.” While she feels that utilizing the appropriate products and procedures is vital, she also believes that curling your lashes properly makes all the difference.”Making your eyes seem (larger) is the most crucial thing,” she explained. Here’s how to get her timeless look for yourself.

Make sure your skin is properly prepped in order to get a perfect base. Apply a moisturizer that fits your skin type after cleaning, and then an illuminating primer. Stipple on a medium coverage foundation with a moist brush. Use a peach-toned color corrector beneath your eyes and a creamy concealer to cover it up. Apply the concealer to any additional areas of the face that need extra coverage and mix it in.

Begin by applying an eyeshadow base to the upper and lower eyelids. Eyeshadow Primer isn’t to be messed with. Next, apply a sooty black pencil liner to line your waterline and tightline your eyes. To soften the color, smudge it using a smudging brush. Apply the golden shade from the palette all over the eyelids and mix it into the crease with a shader brush. Line your top lash line with your eyeliner pencil. Then, using a smaller brush, smudge the eyeliner near the roots of the lashes using the darker color from the palette. Rep the procedure on the bottom lash line as well. Curl your lashes and then use mascara to comb them through. For optimal results, apply two coats.

Apply a brown nude lip pencil to line your lips, then top with your favorite creamy nude lipstick. Set your makeup with a finely milled translucent powder along your T-zone.
