Actor Sunny Singh has had a scintillating start to his career and he happens to be one of those few blessed actors who kickstarted his career on a high around the early stages of his career itself. Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 gave him the boost that his potential as an actor needed to meet and he followed up the great work in movies like Ujda Chaman, Pati, Patni Aur Woh, & Jai Mummy Di.

IWMBuzz got into a fun conversation with Sunny on his work till now, his quarantine period and a lot more. Read to know more

Sunny, how do you look back to the fact that you happened to make a mark in the industry since your very first movie itself. Not all actors are blessed with that. What do you feel?

It feels amazing and it is truly a blessing as you said. I am thankful to some special people like Luv sir and all my friends and dear ones who have supported me throughout. What feels more amazing is people relate to not just Sunny Singh but also to my characters. So many times I have heard people say stuff like ‘ Wo Dekh Chauka bhai from PKP 2’ and all that stuff. So the ability to relate is important. It’s been a good start and touchwood things happen well from here.

How has the quarantine changed your lifestyle and do you think it will be difficult for you to get back to normalcy once work resumes?

First of all, it’s a very sad thing happening in the country at the moment. Not just the country, all around the world and my prayers that it ends soon. But yeah, I have always been someone who has taken it as a day coming and gone by so I don’t really think it will be very difficult for me to resume back to normalcy once it starts. But yeah, regular routine has seen quite a bit of change. I am going to sleep at 3.30am daily (chuckles). Fitness wise, things are good as I have dumbbells at home, so the workout is happening as per the will. Enjoying some lovely food at the house. Overall, it’s fun.

So what is keeping you awake till 3.30 AM daily?

(Laughs) I am playing the Ludo King game with my friends and it has become like an addiction lol. It’s really difficult to not play and me and my friends are always into it. We even created a WhatsApp group for the same purpose would you believe it? But yes, that’s a big reason why I am awake till late at night.

Lastly, what’s next in store after the lockdown?

Well, I have had some work meetings in this quarantine virtually via video calls and stuff. So there are certain things that need to be aligned. But given the lockdown situation and how it will progress, it’s very difficult to plan something so early. But yeah work will be my topmost priority once the lockdown gets over as by the time it gets over, I would have had enough relaxation. So need to put my energy and efforts into work again.
