Dasara, starring Keerthy Suresh and Nani is one of the highly anticipated pan-Indian movies as of now. The movie has been making headlines ever since the makers announced its release. The trailer that recently got its release has been making quite a buzz all across the country. The movie is hitting the theatres on 30th March. The movie shall get its release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Owing to that, Keerthy Suresh, who plays Vennela in the movie recently in an interview opened up on the challenges she faces while portraying the role in the movie.

Talking about her character in the film, she told to ETimes, that her role has been extremely challenging in the movie Dasara. The actress opened up that even to apply makeup and remove it for a scene, it used to take her some hours. The actress spoke about the background being very rustic. She also added, “It was initially difficult yo play a character who speaks Telangana dialect. But I got used to it after a while. My character’s name is Vennela. The character Vennela connects to everyone.”

Speaking about her experiences while talking in a foreign dialect, she said, that the director is ‘well versed’ in the Telangana dialect. She also said how a professor helped her. Adding on she revealed that while dubbing for Dasara she took five to six days, while usually she takes around three to four days.

The actress further added that she was asked to shed 12 kilos for the role in movie. She said, “Srikanth asked me to decrease 12 Kilos for the film. I told him I can not do that because I am doing other films as well and I will continuity in them. I decreased three Kilos. I reminded him about it later and he said you look authentic even though you did not decrease weight. I took that as a compliment.”
