In conversation with Sonu Sood

Life for Sonu Sood seems to have come a full circle with the music video Paagal Nahin Hona which was released this week. Sonu who shares the love vibes of the pretty ssong with actress-singer Sunanda Sharma says, “I started my career as an actor with a music video. It was Gurdas Mann’s Jadugari and then I did another music video Surjit Singh Bindrakhia’s Jatt di pasand. Lately I wanted to do Punjabi film. I got many requests from my fans and well-wishers in Punjab. But there was no time to do a full-length feature film.. So when the opportunity to do this music video came along I immediately said yes. It had a nice sound to it and it has a powerful message for the armed forces. I’m glad I did it. It was a delightful experience.”

Sonu wanted to do something for the army. “And this song about a soldier leaving his beloved to go to the border to find the enemy, is just what I wanted. I hope our brave jawans will be able to relate to it. Everyone who fights for the country leaves loved ones behind.”

Though he liked the experience of doing this video Sonu won’t be seen in another music video anytime in the near future. “I’ve to cut down on my acting assignments to focus on my work with the needy. This is my way of honoring the soldier within me.”
