“I still don’t feel I have achieved stardom “ – Taapsee Pannu
Taapsee Pannu has quickly shot to fame with some amazing movie choices in the last few years. It all started primarily with ‘The Ghazi Attack’ and then movies like ‘Baby’, ‘Naam Shabana’, ‘Pink’, ‘Soorma’, ‘Judwaa 2’, ‘Manmarziyaan’, ‘Badla’ and ‘Game Over’ has taken her to a different league altogether amongst the young brigade of actresses.
The actress also has a prolific background of working in the south movies and she was already an established actress at the south back then. So when one sees her journey till now in 2019, one must admit the fact that her journey has been outstanding and she has achieved her share of fame and stardom already after her body of work in Bollywood. She is next gearing up with ‘Mission Mangal’ alongside an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. However during the promotions of Mission Mangal, when Taapsee was asked about what she feels regarding her stardom, Taapsee was quoted as saying –
“I still don’t feel like a star. I still don’t feel I have achieved stardom. The day my movies open with a decent double digit number at the box office, I will feel like one. But till then, I am just an actor who is happy working a lot. My image on social media comes out easily because that’s the natural me. I don’t try to be someone else. But for me, star power works based on box office collections.”
Well, here’s hoping ‘Mission Mangal’ is a huge hit for you Taapsee. On the work front, Taapsee next has ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ where she essays the role of Shooter Dadi. The movie is slated to release on September, 2019.
