Ever since the biopic of J Jayalalithaa was announced, fans were extremely excited and happy to see Kangana Ranaut play the role. When the shooting of the movie started, quite many photos too emerged online and netizens were convinced that Kangana has done justice to the role of the legendary actress and politician. While netizens feel that Kangana has done a spectacular job, readers, do you all know that during her lifetime, Jayalalithaa herself wanted someone else to play the role of her biopic? Yes, that’s true.
As per the reports in Hindustan Times, when Jayalalithaa was asked on Simi Garewal’s talk show in 1999 as to who would be perfect to play the role of her in her biopic, she was quoted as saying,
“I think Aishwarya Rai would be very suitable to play me in my younger days. But then to play me as I am now, or I’m likely to be in the future, I think it would be a little difficult.”
