Ashadi Ekadashi, a major festival celebrated in Maharashtra, is just one day away. Warakaris have arrived in Pandharpur. In fact, Warakaris eagerly anticipate meeting Vithuraya of Pandhari following the month of Ashadh. Due to the pandemic, the entire schedule had gone for a toss and was interrupted for almost 2 years.

Many artists from the film industry also join the Warkaris every year. Actors like Sandeep Pathak and Spriha Joshi have shared their experiences about the spiritual journey on social media.

Even Swapnil Joshi is on the list now. The ‘Duniyadari’ actor has totally seemed to immerse himself in the devotion of Lord Vitthal while travelling to Pandharpur on foot. Swapnil shared a post on his Instagram story with a heartfelt caption in Marathi which translates as, “

It now includes Swapnil Joshi. Swapnil is immersed in the devotion of Vithu Mauli after experiencing the journey. After travelling on foot from Wakhri to Pandharpur, Swapnil shared a post about his experience. For the past several years, Swapnil has wanted to experience Wari. But for some reason, he could not go to Wari. But this year, his dream of going to Wari finally came true.

Swapnil has shared his first participation experience on social media. In an Instagram post, he shared a photo and wrote, “Yesterday we walked from Wakhri to Pandharpur Pai Wari! The fulfilment of many years of dreams started yesterday! Want to walk full circle someday! Let’s see, if Pandurang ever gives us a chance!

But after meeting the Warkaris yesterday, walking with them, playing, dancing, wearing balloons, chanting the name Mauli, I don’t know when I reached the temple!

I am a hero in movies. But the real hero is Vitthal. Forgetting thirst and hunger year after year, these devotees go walking to worship their God. The feet get swollen, but the swelling of the neck and thoughts goes away forever! Blessed with his blessings!

Our team has been able to serve this community here. By making food donations, seating arrangements, water supply, and lost and found stalls. It was a great pleasure to see all this. Proud to be able to serve the community while entertaining!

There is so much to write, words fall short! Everyone must make this “journey” at least once! My grandmother used to say … “If you don’t walk, are you even alive?” Yesterday I found out what she meant! Jai Hari Vitthal!”

It is indeed a notable thing how Swapnil and his team are serving the Warkari community. Their efforts are surely going to be blessed by Lord Vitthal himself.
