We automatically imagine Margot Robbie with her distinctive blonde hair when we think of her. The Oscar nominee, who was born and raised in Queensland, is the image of the Australian golden girl. However, in her most recent part for the upcoming Hollywood picture Amsterdam, Margot has dark hair and is virtually unrecognizable.

Margot is a nurse in the David O’Russell comedy-drama who, along with two other companions, finds herself involved in a surprising turn of events in 1930s America. Christian Bale, John David Washington, Anya Taylor Joy, Robert DeNiro, and even Taylor Swift are part of the impressive cast. But we couldn’t take our eyes off Margot, a brunette with a perfect American accent.

While Margot’s darker hair may surprise some of her fans, it’s not the first time the actress has experimented with the color.

At the 2014 Oscars, the Wolf of Wall Street star exuded classic Hollywood elegance with a strapless black gown and loosely curled dark hair.
Margot said in 2014 that she had black hair when in school even though she is recognized for being blonde.

“Throughout high school, I actually had it in this color. In high school, I always used dark coloring. When I had to go blonde, I was heartbroken.”

Margot is always modest, though, when it comes to her beautiful hair. She is beautiful regardless of her hair color, but black hair completely changes her appearance.
