1) She was born in Kannur, Kerala on the 4th of August in 1992. She got her degree in Mass Media from Wilson College, Mumbai. She was however brought up in Mumbai. She is the daughter of a well-known Bollywood Choreographer, KU Mohanan, who handled movies like Talaash, Raees, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Andhadhun, Maharshi, and Lust Stories.
2) She made her debut in the Malayalam film industry with the 2013 movie, Pattam Pole. She starred in the movie opposite Dulquer Salmaan. The movie, unfortunately, didn’t impress the audience and was criticized.
3) In 2017, she made her big break in Bollywood with her movie, Beyond the Clouds, and shot to fame. According to a Zoom TV Entertainment report, she replaced Deepika Padukone in the movie. The movie was directed by the acclaimed Iranian director Majid Majidi. The actress was dedicated to her role and refused to wash her hair for several days to get the look of a slum dweller and even lost 8 kilos in 15 days when they filmed the jail sequence.
4) She made her Tamil debut in Rajnikanth’s 2019 movie, Petta. It was directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and the music was by Anirudh Ravichander. It was released on the day of Pongal.
