Hansal Mehta is undoubtedly one of the finest critically acclaimed directors that we have in the country at the moment and he’s known to extract the best out of his actors and team. Some of his best creations are are Omerta, Citylights, Shahid, Aligarh and he’s currently receiving all the love and appreciation for his recent work in ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’.

Currently, Hansal is gearing up for the release of his next directorial Chhalaang starring Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha in lead roles and the movie is about the transition and transformation of a local PT teacher from Haryana. Given Hansal’s work portfolio till now, we can certainly expect another cracker from his end. However, when Hansal was asked about his own memories of PT from school, he said and we quote,

“I was blessed with some amazing PT teachers and coaches in my life who have helped me to believe in myself and my abilities a lot more than what I could ever think. I played table tennis and cricket till a certain level and I was active in sports and a lot of the confidence I got was due to my coaches. During the whole journey of Chhalaang, I kept remembering those moments and they are truly special. PT classes used to be amazing. I used to have fun during PT classes as I considered them to be a free period. Amazing memories.”
