Grey may not be your favorite color, but Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is ready to alter your mind. The actress, who is an expert in ethnic fashion, once again demonstrated her enthusiasm for the traditional dress saree, this time in an unexpected color. Her grey tone saree by Boveee with silver zari embellishments was perfect for summer days and made for an elegant and subtle style statement that we like. Vidya Balan kept things simple with a matching blouse for a tone-on-tone ethnic style, with the silver zari embroidery providing just the perfect amount of shimmer.

Vidya Balan glammed up in a handmade silk saree for an e-interview on Tuesday, while providing us a fantastic lesson on adding this traditional wear to our professional wear closet. Vidya Balan wore a cream-toned silk saree from Biswa Bangla with gorgeous self-floral motifs and paired it with a metallic gold blouse for a classic white and gold look.

While we like Vidya Balan’s traditional saree outfits, the actress also understands how to inject a playful and unique spin on ethnic clothing when necessary. Summer is all about color-pop, and Vidya showed us how to make a statement without going overboard in a cool white and yellow NandiDimps saree. With its vivid yellow, the pure white saree stood out.

A black saree is a must-have in every woman’s ethnic wear wardrobe, and we adored this one by Masaba Gupta that Vidya Balan wore. The gold patterns, along with red and green accents, gave it an additional edge.

A flowery saree, like a black saree, is worth having in your saree collection. Such as Vidya Balan’s gorgeous flower patterned one from Saundh with white and red tones and charming pom poms along the edges.
