Is it better to drink water or not drink water, is it better to eat fruits or not eat fruits, is yoga better than Pilates, is going to the gym better than taking a walk in the park? When it comes to fitness, we are continuously bombarded with so much information that we are sure to become perplexed. While we struggle to find a consistent routine, Bollywood stars appear to have figured out what works and how to reach their goals in a healthy manner. Actor Ali Fazal, who has been turning heads with his pumped-up body in the web series Mirzapur, is one of them.

In particular, his duty in Mirzapur forced him to bulk up. Ali had to stick to a tight fitness routine, working out while on vacation and when filming in locations without a gym. In fact, whenever Ali goes, he makes a point of doing 100 push-ups and squats, which is an activity in and of itself.

Ali then went on to elaborate about his diet in an earlier interview with Filmfare. He makes sure he has ghee, coconut oil, and butter on hand. He, on the other hand, avoids carbohydrates, candy, snacks, and nuts. However, rice, potatoes, and sweet potatoes appear in his meals on occasion. However, with the exception of bananas, he refuses to eat fruits due to their high sugar content. Salads are also a favorite of Ali’s.

Ali goes further to share a very important tip for his fans which is, “people set unrealistic goals for themselves. They see fitness as a huge mountain to climb and that deflates their spirit. One should be realistic. Take each day at a time. Be patient and maintain an exercise routine, a balanced diet and you’ll get there.”
