Tom Ellis is a Welsh actor best understood for his work in the Netflix series Lucifer. The charismatic actor has done quite a great job with his character on the show. As per a Guardian report, the actor revealed that one of his biggest fears is, “people not liking him.”

The topic was broached when the actor was asked about parts of his character that he would work on harder if he was given that chance to go back in time. The actor began his reply by explaining that growing up in the church, being the pastor’s son, and having to say hello to everyone is part of the reason why he is so good with people.

But the actor reiterated, as per the Guardian’s report, that he understands that “wanting to be diplomatic and not ruffle his feathers” comes in the way of standing up for the things he believes in. He stated that he’s scared of others’ reactions to his views.

It took a while before he could check in with himself about how he really feels about things as an adult as he was used to saying, “I’m fine, and I just want anyone else to be fine.”

The actor revealed, “My biggest fear growing up was people not liking me.”

He further added, “But I’ve realized now that it’s inevitable that some people are just not going to like you. And I have to expect that and be strong about that, and own my own truth and my own mistakes and try to learn from them.”
