The Gangs of Wasseypur actor, Pankaj Tripathi recently had an interview with Times of India where he revealed quite a few interesting details. The actor talked about his struggles to make it to the industry, his other plans, and even the thought of quitting the industry. But what got to us the most was when he talked of being replaced.

During the interview, he was asked if he was ever concerned about his skills. The actor said no and that he wouldn’t have become an actor if he was. He added that he thought he would learn it eventually. When they asked if he ever downplayed his struggle, the actor simply replied by saying he never saw it as a struggle since he loved what he was doing.

The interview then led to the question about being replaced in a movie, and the actor replied he had been replaced many times. However, he added that whatever movie he was replaced in eventually turned out to be a flop. And he swears he didn’t jinx the movie.

According to the Times of India report, the actor said, “Oh, so many times. You are told you have been finalized till the very end, and one day, you find out you have been replaced. Of course, it hurts, but it is a part of the process. However, every project I have been replaced in has eventually flopped; trust me, I didn’t jinx them (laughs). So, in hindsight, it was for the best! Jo Nahi ho sake poorn kaam, unko karta hoon main pranaam (Wishes that remain unfulfilled are probably for the best).”

The actor said that he worked with those filmmakers again but they don’t remember and he didn’t remind them about it either. The actor doesn’t necessarily feel negative about his struggles. He is happy where he is in life and doesn’t see the point in dwelling on the bad.
