Farhan Akhtar is going to make his return with 120 Bahadur. The film is to hit theatres on the 21st of November, 2025. Helmed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, the film reflects history. It is a retelling of the last stand of 120 Indian soldiers during the Battle of Rezang La in November 1962.
The story vows to make an impact on the viewers. With Farhan Akhtar stepping up as the lead, the movie gives you the chance to witness the truth.
The Battle of Rezang La is an epitome of courage in the annals of the Indian Army. On 18 November 1962, amidst the uninhabitable heights of the Ladakh region, Major Shaitan Singh’s company, consisting of 120 soldiers from Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon, was surrounded by a remarkably larger Chinese army. Although very much outnumbered and outgunned, they steadfastly held their position and inflicted severe losses on the enemy before being overwhelmed. Only a few men were left alive after the battle, but their sacrifice became immortalised in frost and legend.

120 Bahadur brings this epic to the screen, with Farhan Akhtar embodying Major Singh’s courage. The film honours the human spirit, soldiers who wrote farewell letters by lantern light, fought with frozen hands, and chose duty over survival. Their stand delayed the enemy, saved Chushul, and etched a story of extraordinary bravery into the heart of a nation.

Apart from witnessing the history, we also get to see the ambitious visuals. We earlier glanced at the sneak peek, featuring the cast moving through strenuous, snow-capped landscapes. The ferocity was intense with Farhan Akhtar’s war cries.
With zero melodrama, 120 Bahadur promises to channel courage and commitment to the nation’s history. It tells a story of patriotism. It tells a story of India.
