After a four-year wait from the previous part, the “Drishyam” franchise returns with its finale, “The Conclusion,” continuing the story of Vijay Salgaonkar—a character who captivated audiences in the previous two installments. The question remains, however, whether this comeback lives up to the expectations surrounding the franchise’s conclusion.

Let’s find the answer below.

Plotline

In the previous two installments of the film, the story unfolded in such a way that Vijay Salgaonkar always stayed beyond the reach of the law while protecting himself and his family; the narrative has evolved to create a unique, almost intangible bond between the audience and the story, wanting to know what happens next.

Carrying forward Vijay’s story, the third installment centers on how he and his family face the consequences of the past incident. The stakes are higher than ever as Vijay confronts a terrifying new challenge that complicates his efforts to keep his family safe.

The plot thickens, becoming even more engaging and suspenseful when Vijay comes face-to-face with Crime Branch officer Rajveer Singh Tomar (Jaideep Ahlawat).

As for what happens next—and whether Sameer Deshmukh’s culprit is caught—you will have to watch it for yourself, as seeing it unfold on screen is truly unique.

Direction & Screenplay

Director Abhishek Pathak once again masterfully demonstrates his prowess, proving why he is regarded as a capable storyteller. Understanding the pulse of the franchise, he carries the story forward only to elevate the experience.

Without repeating what the previous two installments feature, this time the story gets even more emotional, engaging, and heart-pounding. The screenplay keeps the suspense alive while triggering emotions. Both the direction and writing stand out as the film’s strongest points.

Dialogues, Presentation And More

The highlight of the season is the showdown between Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat—their confrontation commands attention and keeps the audience engrossed. The courtroom sequence is one of the most memorable moments. From tapping the emotional beats to intense confrontation, courtroom drama to the climax, the film keeps the suspense alive.

Dialogues are impactful. Not sharing any spoilers, but a few dialogues will even make you question your stance on the film. The cinematography perfectly captures the tense, high-stakes drama.

Performances

Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay, and he proves why this character has become so memorable. You can’t help but notice the brilliance of his acting; where intense scenes often fail to feel convincing, Ajay triumphs through the sheer expressiveness of his eyes—bow down.

Jaideep Ahlawat is an actor known for making his characters lively and convincing, and he has once again lived up to that reputation brilliantly. Marking his debut in the franchise, he elevates the energy with his balanced performance.

Tabu makes her return with renewed energy of revenge, and Rajat Kapoor rightfully stands with her as they wish to discover the truth behind their son Sameer’s death.

Prakash Raj brings sensibility and weight to the courtroom sequence, while Shriya Saran balances the emotional notes yet again with an impressive performance. Kamlesh Sawant delivers an impactful performance while also carrying the weight of the comedy. Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav deliver decent performances that add to the narrative.

So the answer is yes, Drishyam: The Conclusion lives up to expectations with courtroom drama involving Prakash Raj, intense confrontation between Ajay and Jaideep Ahlawat, Tabu and Rajat’s renewed energy for revenge, Salgaonkar family’s emotional depth, and, most importantly, the climax; the film strikes all the right notes—a must-watch for this weekend.
