Friday morning was thunderous. Exactly four weeks prior to its theatrical arrival, Toxic unveiled its teaser. All eyes were on how would the biggest pan-India film in the longest time would actually come across on screen, and it was this teaser that would have opened floodgates for it.

Well, the teaser delivered has promised, and then also offered some more. Yash can be seen in an avtar that builds on his Rocky bhai image from the world of KGF. Style, swagger, attitude, persona – just about everything that Yash brings on screen is what audiences expect from him in the first place. There is a lot of blood and violence around him as well, and for a man who once characteristically remarked “I Hate Violence”, there is a lot of it which is being splashed on the big screen.

While Toxic has made the first move and now done the job of reaching out to the loyal fanbase of Yash, the ball is now in the court of Dhurandhar 2. What happens next, is the question on everyone’s lips, be it the fans and followers of Dhurandhar or trade which is looking for a big blockbuster to finally end the drought at the box office.

Yash’s Toxic makes the first move, all eyes on Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar now - Will Box Office rewrite history on 19th March? 988499

Dhurandhar is the highest grossing single language film ever and expectations are that Dhurandhar 2 would be aiming for nothing less than 1000 crores nett just from India. The stakes are really high here, which means the final product needs to be really out of the world and absolutely original, something that went in the favour of Dhurandhar too.

While answer to that would be known on 19th March, it’s the days preceding that which hold utmost importance. The first thing that the makers would be doing is release an asset which is further ahead of Dhurandhar 2 teaser that arrived a few weeks back. While that was more or less the same as the asset which came at the end credits of Dhurandhar, what’s required is something fresh that rightly introduces the world of the second part.

Would that be a new teaser or a song is something that should be known in the coming week. After all, the trailer would certainly arrive after 10th March, and that would be the right thing to do as well since it would be like that final explosion before there are all around fireworks in theaters on the D day. Hence, the trailer needs to be reserved for the last.

In my opinion, what would help from here on is the unveiling of just a few more posters of the principal characters, and then 3-4 fabulous songs that set up the situational mood of the film. Of course not much can be revealed in the visuals either since Aditya Dhar uses his song placement quite meticulously due to their plot driven appeal. However if he can stitch around something smart in such a way that the songs do reach out to the audiences without the plot being revealed then that would go a long way in letting the audiences know what they are stepping into.

All said and done, Dhurandhar 2 is a biggie that’s most awaited and with Toxic on its side, it will only make 19th March as super Friday. Let the next set of assets come from both the films and I would be back soon with my view on how the box office will play out for the much awaited biggies that are bound to make 2026 a huge year at the box office.
