Each of us is on our own way to happiness. Every day, we strive to accomplish things that make us happy, but we frequently see others who appear to be happier than we are. The truth is that these folks may be happier because happiness is something that you can choose to bring into your life. We’ve all seen people who have everything but are still unhappy.

Then there are those who appear to be the happiest people you’ve ever met while having very little. What makes this distinction? The Pursuit of Happyness is an excellent example of someone who has little but chooses to be happy despite having little.

Even though he has many dark and difficult moments, the main character Chris Gardner (played by Will Smith) pursues his own happiness. His decision to stay hopeful and press forward provides him the ability to be happy in the end. It’s nearly hard to watch this film without reflecting on your own life and the challenges that you can easily overcome if you simply choose happiness.

Chris Gardner keeps his head held high while he pursues his own happiness. If we choose to be inspired by this character, we will either embark on a quest for personal happiness or deepen the one we already have.
