Disney Hotstar launched its multiplex theme with the announcement of 7 direct to home movies.
However, there’s a twist in the tale.
Present at the launch were Ajay Devgn (Bhuj), Akshay Kumar (Laxxmi Bomb), Abhishek Bachchan (Big Bull), Alia Bhatt (Sadak 2), Varun Dhawan (emcee) and Star India top boss Uday Shankar.
Representatives of Dil Bechara (the lead heroine could have come) and two more movies namely Lootcase (Kunal Khemu) and Khuda Hafiz (Vidyut Jammwal) were missing.
So why were they not invited? Is there a phased out marketing plan of the movies or the network wanted to harp on the so called A lister appeal only?
Whatever be it, Vidyut is not pleased at all.
He wrote: A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES
Well, we hope Disney Hotstar network will issue clarification on the same.
