Aamir Khan Shelves Mahabharat

Know why Aamir Khan has shelved Mahabharat

The ever-enterprising Aamir Khan’s wings seem to have been clipped by the debilitating failure of Laal Singh Chaddha. One now hears from sources very close to the superstar-producer that Aamir has called off his most ambitious project a webseries based on the Mahabharat.

The lavish super-costly project has been troubled from the start. One heard that Aamir not only wanted to produce and direct the Mahabharat he also wanted to play Lord Krishna. But now the project is being labeled as “financially not feasible”.

Reliable sources say the financiers have backed out of Aamir’s Mahabharat as “too risky”.

In the meanwhile S S Rajamouli who was keen on doing his own interpretation of the Mahabharat has also put the project on hold indefinitely.

One now hears that producer Feroz Nadiadwala plans a 5D version of the Mahabharat which sounds more like wishful thinking than a tenable project.
