Alpha, the first female-led spy action from YRF’s Spy Universe, failed to live up to expectations and proved a big disappointment. And now it has completed two weeks at the box office, but is still struggling to wrap the second week with a net collection under 60 crore. In comparison to other Spy films from the franchise, the Alia Bhatt and Sharvari starrer has turned out to be the weakest since its opening day.

On day 14 (Second Thursday), the film earned just 0.60 crore, i.e., 60 lakhs in domestic collections, while overseas the film earned 0.25 crore, i.e., 25 lakhs—both as per Sacnilk data. Despite the big budget, grand-scale portrayal, big stars, and active marketing, the action thriller failed to impress viewers.
