Filmmaker Kuku Kohli passed away recently on August 25, 2026, after suffering a heart attack. Almost two months after his death, his wife and veteran actress Aruna Irani returned to work and thanked fans for standing by her during tough times.
On October 18, 2026, Aruna uploaded a video from her home, sharing an update on her professional life. The actress said, “Namaskar, Kuku Ji ke nidhan ke baad aap sabne jo mujhe pyaar diya, mera sath diya, uske liye main khoob khoob abhari hoon. (Namaskar, after Kuku Ji’s demise, the love you all have showered and supported me for that I’m wholeheartedly grateful).”
She further added, “Mujhe yakin nahi hota, itni mushkil ghadi me aap sab mere sath honge, mere sath khade honge. Vahi pyaar aur sath ki energy hai jo aaj mai apke samne khadi hoon aur dobara se kam shuru kar paa rahi hoon. Asha rakhti hoon ki aap sab meri zindagi ki akhri saas tak yuhi mere sath rahenge yuhi mujhe pyaar denge. Thank you so much. (I can’t believe that in such a difficult phase of my life, you all stood by me. It is that very love and energy that allows me to stand before you today and resume work. I hope you will continue to love and support me until my last breath. Thank you so much).”
In the caption, Aruna wrote, “Grateful, humbled, and ready to begin again (with a joining hands emoji).”
