Batwara 1947 Box Office Collection Day 5: Sunny Deol’s Film Continues To Struggle On 1st Tuesday

Starring Sunny Deol, Batwara 1947 opened on a decent note and now continues to struggle at the box office in its first week. Despite strong word-of-mouth, a stellar cast, an engaging narrative, and emotional appeal, the partition-era film failed to earn as much as expected.

According to Sacnilk data, the Rajkumar Santoshi-directed film earned 2.25 crore net across 6,608 shows, with 16 percent occupancy on day 5 (First Tuesday). In comparison, day 5 saw 12.5 percent growth from day 4. In the overseas market, the film earned 50 lakhs on day 5.

Batwara 1947 clashing with Awarapan 2 sees affected collection at the box office. In comparison, the 2007 cult classic is leading the league and drawing major attention from audiences.
