Puneeth Rajkumar was one of the most adorable and admired actors in the Indian entertainment industry. The man had done a terrific work in the South regional entertainment space for the longest time and no wonder, we have truly been in awe of anything and everything that he’s done from his end. For the longest time, our very own ‘Appu’ managed to rule the hearts of one and all. He had a terrific run in cinemas and was certainly at the peak of his career. It was a terribly sad news indeed when we all heard the fact that Puneeth unfortunately passed away and breathed his last at the age of 40. He passed away due to massive cardiac arrest. He was last year rushed to the hospital immediately after the attack.
Ever since then, his fans and admirers have missed his presence almost daily. But finally, we have an update for you all that will make you all happy. As per the latest reports in Deccan Herald, Karnataka’s highest civilian award the ‘Karnataka Ratna’ was conferred posthumously on late actor Puneeth Rajkumar on Tuesday, on the occasion of the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava (the state formation day). He is the 9th recipient of the grand honour.
