The actress recently reposted an Instagram post that talks about the rumors of Shahid Kapoor being upset with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna’s more screen time in the upcoming film Cocktail 2.
The rumored post is uploaded by a media house’s handle with the screenshot of the post on Reddit with the headline, “Tea on Cocktail 2,” and it discusses the rumors of Shahid being upset with more screen given to Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in Cocktail 2, and also that their roles are important which Shahid feels like he is a supporting character.
The post reads, “So I heard the tea from my cousin, whose friend worked on the Sicily sets of Cocktail 2. They said there were major ego clashes happening. Apparently Kriti Sanon has got the meatiest part ala Deepika’s in Cocktail while Rashmika’s character is quite lovable which will give both of them popularity. Also the two girls get on like a house on fire & are very fond of each other. As so as they are sending feelers to Farhan Akhtar to cast them in Jee Le Zara. Will come back to it some other day.”
The post further highlighted, “All this has made Shahid Kapoor insecure who believes he is rather playing a supporting character. In the first Cocktail Saif Ali Khan also played a more understated character happily letting the girls outshine him. But the same is not the case with Shahid who has thrown a fit a number of times during shooting. The failure of O Romeo has also made him bitter.”
It also stated the reason behind Shahid’s absence at Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding, “The two girls were fed up with his tantrums. That’s why Rashmika didn’t invite him to her wedding but gladly posed with Kriti. While Shahid only wished her because of Vijay.”
And concluded the statement revealing the efforts makers took to handle the matter, and Shahid having regrets about signing the film, “The makers are telling Shahid to hold his horses during the promotions, but he is in no mood to have any discussions in dealing with them. He is now regretting his decision to sign the movie in the first place.”
