This Friday saw two big movies clashing in cinemas. While the first one was Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi starrer ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’, the second one was R. Madhavan’s debut directorial aka Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. As far as word of mouth is concerned, the general notion on social media platforms is that Madhavan’s movie is better in terms of content and script. However, as far as day 1 of the box office is concerned, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi’s ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’ managed to edge past R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect by a slight margin. While Aditya Roy Kapur’s movie earned Rs 1.4 crores as per reports in Times Of India, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect earned Rs 65 lakhs on day 1.
With good word of mouth and real-time feedback, it will now be interesting to see as which movie eventually races past the other in the coming few days.
