Just like every other week, this week as well, we had two blockbuster releases this week. It was a stiff competition between Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan. As far as day 1 is concerned, it was clearly Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha that emerged as the clear winner.
On day 2 as well, it was Aamir Khan’s movie that won the battle. On day 2, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan earned 6.40 crores and the total collection stands at 14.60 crores. On the other hand, Aamir Khan’s film collected 7 crores and henceforth, the total collection stands at 19 crores.
As far as day 3 is concerned, Aamir’s movie maintains lead with total collection of 27.50 crores whereas Akshay’s Raksha Bandhan managed 20.6 crores till day 3.
Well, going forward, it will be interesting to see whether Raksha Bandhan is able to catch up with Laal Singh Chaddha and surpass it or whether Laal Singh Chaddha continues to be the front runner.
