The brand strategist, Kaveri Baruah, had to retract her previous statements, which included an alleged list of “42 dos and don’ts” for meeting Telugu superstar Allu Arjun. The actor’s representatives issued legal threats after the Sweekriti Talks Podcast episode went viral which led to her retraction.
Baruah’s initial claims which circulated widely across social media described a set of unusual protocols supposedly imposed on those meeting Allu Arjun. Among the most bizarre allegations were instructions such as “don’t look into his eyes” and “don’t shake his hand.” The claims led to public online discussions which examined both the strategist and the podcast.
Baruah used social media platform X to make her formal withdrawal from the proceedings while she apologized to the public after declaring her earlier statements “incorrect” and “not based on any verified document or factual material.” She emphasised that Allu Arjun and his team never issued any rules to her.
The original Sweekriti Talks Podcast episode which contained Baruah’s claims was removed from all platforms after the controversy emerged.
The actor’s team accepted the content removal and retraction because they maintained the allegations were without merit. The episode demonstrates how online commentary requires responsible management because it can lead to legal problems when people spread unverified information about public figures.
