The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most reputed and respected events to be a part of this year, things got bigger, especially keeping the past virtual scenario in mind due to Covid-19. This year, big Hollywood films like Elvis, Top Gun: Maverick, Three Thousand Years of Longing played outside Cannes’ competition lineup of 21 films. However, their presence helped restore some of Cannes’ glam quotient as the pandemic scaled down the festival for the past two years. Palme d’Or: Ruben Ostlund for “Triangle of Sadness” (Sweden-Germany-France-Britain)

Grand Prix- Close and Stars at Noon (shared)

Jury Prize- The Eight Mountains and EO (shared)

Best Director- Park Chan-wook (Decision to Leave)

Best Actor- Song Kang Ho (Broker)

Best Actress- Zar Amir Ebrahimi (Holy Spider)

Best Screenplay- Tarik Saleh (Boy from Heaven)

Camera d’Or- War Pony

Jury Special Award- Tori and Lokita

L’Oeil d’Or- All That Breathes (Shaunak Sen)

Jury Special Award (documentary)- Mariupolis 2
