A detailed statement shared on Instagram, Celina Jaitly alleged that the notices were intended to intimidate her and divert attention from ongoing legal and personal disputes.
In her post, Celina Jaitly revealed that both Peter Haag and Wolfgang Haag had threatened to sue her for defamation. However, she stated that an official response had already been submitted through her legal representatives at Karanjawala & Co.
According to Celina Jaitly, the legal notices are an attempt to shift focus away from matters that she claims are already before the authorities and courts. She asserted that speaking about her own experiences and pursuing legal remedies cannot be considered defamation.
The actor further reflected on the family’s public image over the years. Celina Jaitly pointed out that Peter Haag had willingly participated in magazine covers, interviews and media features involving her and their children. She said it was ironic that while public exposure was once welcomed, she now faces legal action for speaking about her experiences, legal battles and concerns as a mother.
A major part of Celina Jaitly’s statement focused on her children. Emphasizing her role as a mother, she stated that they are the reason she continues to fight. Celina Jaitly maintained that she has consistently supported joint custody and an amicable divorce. However, she alleged that despite court orders, she has been unable to maintain contact with her children because she chose to stand up for her rights.
Celina Jaitly also claimed that efforts have been made to remove her from her children’s lives. She explained that her public appeals stemmed from concerns regarding the children’s removal from the marital residence and the possibility that they could be moved outside the jurisdiction of Austrian and Indian courts without her knowledge or consent.
As a mother with joint custody, Celina Jaitly said she believed it was both her right and responsibility to raise these concerns. She further alleged that she has faced pressure, intimidation and attacks on her rights while living in a remote Austrian village, especially after losing both of her parents.
The actor stated that all evidence supporting her claims has been submitted before competent authorities and courts across jurisdictions. She argued that the real issue is not that she has spoken publicly, but that she has refused to remain silent.
In her statement, Celina Jaitly said she dared to leave, stand up for herself, seek the return of what she believes is rightfully hers, protect her relationship with her children and pursue justice through legal channels. She alleged that attempts are now being made to discredit, intimidate and silence her.
Taking a direct swipe at the legal notices, Celina Jaitly remarked on the image of a 50-year-old man and his 75-year-old father joining forces to issue legal threats against a woman who, according to her, has no immediate family support. She further alleged years of abuse and the forced transfer of her premarital assets, claims that she says are now part of ongoing legal proceedings.
Concluding her statement, Celina Jaitly firmly declared that she would not be intimidated into silence. Reaffirming her faith in the judicial systems of both India and Austria, the actor said she would continue her fight through legal means and evidence while seeking justice and protecting her relationship with her children.
