Celina Jaitly, who formerly held the title of Miss India and worked as a Bollywood actress, has taken legal action by bringing a domestic violence suit to a Mumbai court against her husband, the Austrian hotelier Peter Haag.
With her application to the court under the Domestic Violence Act, she has laid severe villainy on him in the form of emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse, apart from manipulation and cruelty. She asserts that the torment was so bad that she had to leave their house in Austria and come back to India.
The pair, who had a secret wedding in a monastery over a thousand years old in Austria, had twins born in 2012. In 2017, Celina had another set of twins, but one of the babies died shortly after birth because of a congenital heart defect, as per a report by NDTV.
Moreover, Celina has recently approached the Delhi High Court seeking legal assistance from her brother, Major (Retd.). Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, whom she alleges is illegally detained in the UAE. On Tuesday, Celina’s domestic violence complaint led the Mumbai court to issue a notice to Peter Haag.
