Veteran Hindi film director MM Baig, who was also the father of former child actor Baby Guddu and a fiction coach to Hrithik Roshan, was found dead at his Mumbai home. As per the reports in the media, the incident took place earlier this week, and the news of his death was shared by the filmmaker’s publicist, Hanif Zaveri, with the news agency PTI.
The reports suggest that Baig was in his 70s and was living alone at his residence for some time, while the publicist also informed that the filmmaker was also unwell for quite some time and wasn’t seen for days. Baig’s disappearance and foul smell fueled suspicion, and the neighbours informed the authorities.
The publicist said Baig hadn’t come out of the house for four to five days, and the neighbours complained to the police after the foul smell started to come from his house. And when the police opened the door, the filmmaker was found dead, and soon it was informed to his daughter. Later, Baig’s body was taken to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem around 1:30 to 2:00 am.
The reason behind MM Baig’s death wasn’t revealed as an investigation is going on now, while the early reports claim he died of a heart attack. But autopsy reports are yet to come.
The publicist sharing about Baig’s contribution in the entertainment world shared that he shared a great equation with Rakesh Roshan, and he even helped Hrithik Roshan with fiction, voice modulation, and mouthing dialogues.
Baig was involved in films like Aadmi Khilona Hai, Kala Bazaar, Kishen Kanhaiya, and others, while his independent directorial film is Chhoti Bahu.
