A 41-year-old policeman who was on his protection duty for the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan reportedly passed away in a tragic incident.
According to reports by IANS, a senior Mumbai Police constable, Ganesh Rayate, who was deployed on duty outside actor Salman’s house, which is currently under surveillance and has been granted police security, suddenly fell ill and collapsed on August 7, 2026.
As the constable collapsed, other police officers present there rushed him to the nearby hospital; however, on arrival, the doctor declared him dead. And as per the police officials, constable Ganesh succumbed to a heart attack.
Salman Khan’s Security Reasons
The Bollywood actor’s security has been bolstered as he is on the target list of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi wishes to avenge the alleged hunting of a black buck by the actor in the 1990s. Earlier in 2024, two masked men on a bike fired at Salman’s residence, Galaxy Apartment in Bandra, following which it was discovered through the investigation that the shooting was carried out to terrify the actor as ordered by Lawrence Bishnoi.
However, Salman, in response to the death threats, said that he isn’t afraid of it, mentioning that it’s all in God’s hands.
Work Front
Salman Khan will next appear in the patriotic war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace (formerly titled Battle of Galwan) directed by Apoorva Lakhia. He is also actively filming an untitled action entertainer with director Vamshi Paidipally and co-starring Nayanthara.
