During the YouTube vlog for Farah Khan’s channel, while showing her house, Dia revealed, “This is the first home any woman in my family has owned.” Further, the actress shared that she bought this house at the age of 19 with money she received for her second film, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, which is still very popular, especially the song Bindiya Chamke, Choodi Khanke.
When asked whether she has cut down on her work since the birth of her son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi, Dia revealed that she feels she is doing more work than she ever did. The actress shared that after her son turned 1, she started shooting and has done quite a lot of work, including movies, OTT shows, books that will release soon, and a couple of scripts.
Opening up about her marriage to Vaibhav Rekhi, actress Dia highlighted that her stepdaughter Samaira’s consent and comfort were crucial. Dia married Vaibhav Rekhi for the second time, who already had a daughter from his first marriage. In a recent chat with Times Entertainment, Dia revealed that Samaira’s consent and comfort played a key role when she and Vaibhav were thinking of taking their relationship forward.
Dia shared that Vaibhav involved his daughter, Samaira, very early in their relationship and even allowed her to take the lead if she wanted to be family with Dia, and whether she wanted this life or not. The actress even confessed that if Samaira had rejected, she couldn’t have taken the relationship forward, “I think that was very important. If Samaira had rejected me in those early days, if I felt there was a strong friction, I would have never gone ahead with the relationship in the way we went ahead with it. Her acceptance was key”
