This week, Bollywood’s one of the most loved couples, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, graced the couch at Koffee With Karan Season 9 (One Last Time). Known for their sharp wit, royal banter, and candid revelations, the duo did not hold back in Episode 4. Amid the laughter, the couple broke their silence on the horrifying real-life trauma of the Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident, addressing the bizarre internet conspiracy theory that claimed Kareena was the one who stabbed him.
Host Karan Johar brought up the topic of huge online speculation that followed the January 2025 knife attack at the couple’s Bandra residence. While several unverified claims flooded social media, the most shocking narrative pushed by certain netizens suggested that a domestic dispute resulted in Kareena Kapoor stabbing Saif.
Karan Johar slammed the theories as completely ridiculous, while Saif said he expected the conspiracy and was okay with it.
However, Kareena said she was shocked by how weird the theories were. Defending their transparency, she noted that they were in constant communication with the Mumbai Police as they caught the culprit throughout the investigation, dryly asking if conspiracy theorists believed the police department was lying as well.
The couple also clarified who questioned the whereabouts of their driver on the night of the attack. Saif replied with a subtle note, reminding viewers that his staff members have families and had gone home for the night after wrapping up their duties.
Recalling the horrors of that, Kareena shared that she was waving at an autorickshaw in her shorts (night dress) because, after the incident, she couldn’t change while Saif was bleeding, and a terrified Taimur looked at his mother and innocently asked, “Is Daddy going to die?”
About The Incident
Thane police arrested the culprit, identified as a Bangladeshi national, three days after the incident, while Saif recovered after surgery in a few days.
