Famous Hollywood director Rob Reiner and wife, Michele Singer, were found dead at their Los Angeles home on Sunday, according to the family. The law enforcement has said that the couple was stabbed to death in their residence.
Reiner’s family, in a statement, stated, “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” as per ABC News.
Calling it a devastating loss to the country, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said, Rob Reiner’s contributions reverberate throughout American culture and society, and he has improved countless lives through his creative work and advocacy fighting for social and economic justice.”
Rob Reiner is one of the most popular and renowned directors in Hollywood. He is known for some of his massive Hollywood hits, including “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally…,” “Stand By Me,” and others.
Officers were called around 3:40 pm, and later declared it to be an “apparent homicide” as per the reports online.
