The romantic drama, which opened to steady numbers during its first week, is now relying on weekend growth to maintain a stable theatrical run.

According to early estimates, the film collected around ₹2.25 crore (net) on its ninth day, showing a mild upward trend from its previous day’s performance. This takes the total domestic collection to approximately ₹50 crore (net). The jump, though modest, reflects renewed audience interest from smaller cities and tier-2 centers where romantic dramas often sustain longer.

The film’s first week ended on a positive note, with around ₹46 crore, driven by its festive opening and strong initial buzz. However, after entering the second week, collections dropped sharply on Day 8, settling around ₹1.8–2 crore. With the Day 9 rise, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is now hoping to maintain steady weekend numbers to stay afloat before weekday declines set in again.

While the chemistry between Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa remains the film’s biggest strength, the predictable storyline and slow pacing have limited its box office hold. Despite that, the movie’s emotional appeal and melodious music have helped it retain a loyal audience, particularly among fans of classic romantic dramas.

Given its moderate budget, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is already nearing a profitable mark. If it continues its slight weekend rise, the film could comfortably cross the ₹55 crore milestone before the end of its second week.

Though it may not be a blockbuster, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat stands as a fair theatrical performer, especially for a genre that thrives more on sentiment than spectacle. The film’s next few days will determine whether it manages to hold steady or winds down as new releases take over the box office spotlight.
